The organization recommends that cyclists who are no longer able to continue (due to equipment failure, flat tire, fall not requiring immediate repatriation, physical failure, etc.) to wait for the broom wagon (minibus with bike trailer) or to go to a refreshment point to be repatriated at the end of the event by a member of the organization. The organizer will not be able to repatriate individual participants (except in cases of immediate necessity). Any participant who has fallen, suffered mechanical failure, or physical exhaustion and is unable to reach the repatriation points on their own must immediately report their withdrawal to the race director using the emergency number indicated on their bib.

If a participant wishes to withdraw, they must notify a marshal and/or immediately report their withdrawal to the race director using the emergency number indicated on their race bib. Any failure to do so may result in costs being incurred by the competitor.

FROM THE PARTICIPANT
All registrations are final and binding. It is prohibited to give away or resell your race number.

Except in the case of medical impossibility justified by a certificate dated no later than the day of the event, justified force majeure, or exceptional circumstances, no refunds will be made by the organizer.

FROM THE ORGANIZER
If circumstances require, the organizer reserves the right to modify the General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time (course, start times, race rules, and any other organizational matters related to the smooth running of the race, etc.).
In the event of force majeure beyond its control, unfavorable weather conditions, pandemics, or any other circumstances that endanger the safety of competitors, the organization reserves the right to:
Modify/postpone the start time by a maximum of a few hours.
Shorten or neutralize the event.
Stop the event.
Cancel the event

In the event of any changes, the organizer will endeavor to notify all registered participants by email, using the address they provided on the registration form. Any major changes will take effect immediately after notification, by any means, including publication of the revised version of these terms and conditions on the event website.

If the event is canceled due to force majeure or by prefectural decision for reasons beyond the organizer’s control, the organization shall be released from any recourse by the participants. The organizer reserves the right to inform participants of the conditions for postponing registration. The announcement will be made electronically to the address provided by the participant, on the event website, or on the day of the event, by microphone, or by posting at the reception and registration points.

Competitors are solely responsible for ensuring that the equipment they use complies with current standards and for maintaining it.

Traditional bicycles

Unicycles, time trial bikes, fixed-gear bikes, folding bikes, bikes with spoked wheels and/or lenticular wheels, and extensions are prohibited.

Electric bikes are allowed on all courses except the long course (no classification but with all other services maintained). The use of an e-bike must be mentioned at the time of registration (choice of bike).

Recumbent bikes are allowed on all courses. Their use must be mentioned at the time of registration (choice of bike). For obvious reasons of safety and visibility, they must nevertheless position themselves at the very back or very front of the peloton when lining up at the start line. The bike must be equipped in such a way as to be visible in the field of vision of a cyclist.

Tandems are allowed on all courses. Their use must be mentioned at the time of registration (choice of bike). Tandem participants can register at the normal participation rate. They will then only receive one participant’s rider pack (jersey, meal, goodies, etc.). To receive two rider packs, they must add a “tandem” option to their basket. This option will be charged.

Cyclist equipment

Each participant must arrive at the start line with the cycling and sports equipment listed below.

• CE-approved helmet with hard shell and chin strap fastened (mandatory)
• Filled water bottles (mandatory)
• Gloves, pump, inner tube/puncture repair kit (recommended)
• Charged phone with GPS and emergency numbers saved (recommended). Active use of the phone (calls, texts, taking photos/videos) while riding is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
• In the event of unfavorable weather conditions (heavy rain and cool temperatures), the organization reserves the right to require participants to carry a jacket and a survival blanket for all routes.
• It is the responsibility of each participant to carry repair and replacement equipment with them so that they can quickly get back on the road. It is also possible to stop at bike shops along the route to make repairs and then resume the route where it was left off.

In the event of failure to comply with the recommended equipment requirements, the organization cannot be held responsible for any incidents and their consequences. Competitors are responsible for the proper functioning and monitoring of their equipment.

The road is open to traffic: strict compliance with federal traffic laws (LCR) is required. The organization reserves the right to exclude any participant who does not comply with these laws.

Support vehicles are prohibited.

We ask that participating cyclists strictly comply with traffic regulations.

150 pedestrian marshals and 30 motorcyclists will be on hand to ensure your safety; 1 lead car for each route; 1 broom car for each route; 2 medical assistance vehicles during the race.

Keep to the right when riding. Overtake on the left, signaling your intention to pass.

Eco-responsible behavior

You will cross beautiful landscapes, and, as in any place, it is strictly forbidden to throw away your waste (cans, papers energy bars, plastics etc.).
At each feeding station, as well as at the start and finish line, you will have selective waste bins for your waste. The organization reserves the right to exclude on the spot participants who throw their waste on the side of the road and do not respect these instructions. Those excluded from the race will also be removed from the draw.

Fair Play Behavior

Competitors not respecting the sportsmanship and “fair play” of the event, caught in a situation of fraud (lock not respected, early departure, route not respected, use or assistance of vehicles, etc), or having an irresponsible or even dangerous behavior or practice (holding disrespectful or insulting words, incivilitý, use of doping products, throwing objects, documents or waste, dangerous driving, violation of the highway code, etc) will be punished according to the case: time penalty, downgrading, exclusion from the event or even a ban from participating in other events organized by Chablais Léman Sport Organisation.

Registrations are open until 30 minutes before the start of the event (D-Day, on site, digitally for environmental reasons). However, the organizer reserves the right to close registrations at any time.

For obvious reasons of preparation and logistics, the organizer will not be held responsible if the participant registered at the last minute does not receive all the benefits (jersey, medal …).

Race numbers are assigned in the order in which registration forms are received.

The organizer reserves the right to issue priority bib numbers (SAS in the front row). A justified request of a sporting nature* may be sent to: chablaislemansportorganisation@gmail.com. The request must be made no later than 7 days before the date of the event.
* Priority bib numbers are limited to 40 places per course. “Priority” bibs are allocated upon presentation of results from the previous 2 seasons:
– Top 20 overall and podium finish in similar events in the previous 2 seasons (similar in terms of distance, elevation gain, and number of participants).
– FFC Label d’Or Trophy ranking

Race numbers will be allocated in the order of receipt of the registration forms. The organizer reserves the right to issue priority numbers (SAS in the first line). A justified request of a sporting nature can be addressed to: chablaislemansportorganisation@gmail.com

The request must be made at the latest 7 days before the date of the event.

Showers, toilets and a dining area will be available in the finish village, in the gymnasium.

Each participant will receive an individual meal ticket when they collect their number. Additional tickets can be purchased at the refreshment stand in the race village or when registering online.

Those wishing to compete in disabled sports must in any case submit their FFH licence as well as their national or international classification certificate, showing the sporting division, in cycling, with revised or confirmed status. They must appear on the Master List managed and updated by the FFH. Attached. An athlete who is not on the Master List cannot be classified in this category.

The jersey will not be tryable or exchangeable after registration. So be sure to check the size guide before you register. Beware, jerseys are cut close to the body. We strongly recommend that you take an extra size.

The organization will offer a jersey TO THE FIRST 1500 REGISTRANTS. The allocation is made in chronological order of registration.
*The participants registered after the allocation of the total number of jerseys offered by the organization will not be excluded from the draw of the raffle. The cost of registration remains the same as for those who have received a jersey.

Competitors may be supplied by their companions at other points on the course provided that the supply is made by a pedestrian, on the right side of the road, and that it does not affect the safety of the event and other participants. It is the responsibility of each participant to be present in time for the registration, the briefing, and the start of the event. Participants not wearing the event jersey may be placed at the extreme rear.

A “dummy” / “neutralized” start may be set up for each course in order to give the real start, launched, when all safety conditions are met.

Individual accident insurance: Participants are responsible for taking out insurance at the time of registration (optional). The organiser’s insurance only covers physical damage to participants during the event and along the route. Depending on their membership terms with the Federation, licence holders may be eligible for specific coverage. It is strongly recommended that each participant take out the option offered by the organiser or individual insurance covering bodily injury (disability, death) related to competitive cycling.

Damage and material liability: neither the organiser nor its insurer covers any damage that may be caused to participants’ equipment, particularly in the event of a fall or theft. It is the responsibility of each participant to take out their own insurance.

Competitors are responsible for the proper functioning and supervision of their equipment. A cloakroom and bicycle park will be provided. Participants acknowledge that the organisers are not responsible for the supervision of personal belongings or items in the event of theft or loss. Any items, accessories or bicycles handed over to third parties during the event (whether members of the organisation or not) will be the sole responsibility of the participant handing them over.

Participation in the race is entirely at the runners’ own risk, with no recourse against the Organiser for any damage suffered or caused. In the event of an accident, the Organiser and all persons or entities involved in the organisation, including but not limited to the Organiser’s bodies and employees, agents, contractors and auxiliaries, including volunteers, shall not be held liable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
